if all of the raindrops were lemon-drops and gum-drops,
oh, what a rain it would be.

hello (: i'm down to my last 6 weeks in Princeton. summer was the best ever, but the past 4 months have been a time of ups and downs. more downs than ups, but there isn't entirely a bad thing, yea? it's been a struggle in many ways, but God truly is faithful and loving, and never fails to see us through (:
main events so far: 1. sara che came to visit!
she was on a business trip to boston, so she decided to stop by for a weekend.
2. nana che got married (that still hasn't quite sunk in)
she looked lovely in her wedding dress (which had an extremely long and poofy train) and everything went just as planned (: i spent more time on the plane than i did in singapore, but it was definitely worth it (:
3. i went back to oxford watched les mis (: ive been wanting to watch that since i was...8? dad & mum used to listen to the soundtrack in the car, so i've known all the songs since i was wee.
4. my uncles/aunts/cousins/grandparents came to NY for thanksgiving
5. i got caught in a blizzard in NY (but i got to see empire of light II (: )
i thought it was the same painting as empire of light (which sara and i saw in venice 5 yrs ago). oops. the Christmas tree outside Rockefeller center was up too - NY felt like Christmas-as-seen-in-the-movies. It's easy to see how the true meaning of Christmas can be forgotten amidst the sales&shopping, warm fuzzy feelings, hot chocolate and snow.
6. we had a lab Christmas party where we had a lab-skills faceoff
apart from that, i've been in the lab almost all day, every day(more on that soon) and in the evenings we oxford-bunch played table-tennis/pool quite often. oh, and there was apple picking and lawn parties too.
