after watching the musical, "forbidden city", I decided to read up on ci xi tai hou [empress cixi]. Hmmm, I believe the history students at Pearson studied stuff abt her! And they pronounced her name in the funniest of ways =) [I remember the weirdest ways they pronounced yang tze river. haha. =) love you guys! ]

so yes, the play was abt empress cixi - unlike typical historical records, the play portrays a soft and vulnerable empress who loved her son and the emperor with all she had. =)

Now I'm hooked on the songs =)
