if all of the raindrops were lemon-drops and gum-drops,
oh, what a rain it would be.

school's started for a week =) paris. was incredible. i love that place! it's officially my dream honeymoon location.
stayed in the latin quarter, its really safe and central and accessible =) paris is such a beautiful place....not just the buildings or the people, but also the whole atmosphere and pace of life. the food was yummy yummy too =) well, guess it's unfair to compare with the food i ate in italy because in italy we were living on a tight budget but in paris, my uncle was very generous with regards to meals. =) haha. all our dinners were at fancy french restaurants...lunch was at cafes or chinese restaurants =) i tried hare meat, sea urchins, calf cheeks, Chateaubriand for the first time. dont try sea urchin ever. it's slimy and bitter. yikes. sara says it's the ultimate acquired taste. escargots there were real goood. ahh. i miss good food!
on the night we went to the top of the eiffel tower, it was soooooooo cold it was yuchyyy. we wrapped our heads up with our scarves and peeped out at the world. but it was an experience =)
Chateau de Versaille was gorgeous. -swoons- i concluded that french princesses were prettier than italian princesses. haha. but thats irrelevant. It was snowing the day we went to visit so the bushes in the gardens were covered in snow...pretty pretty. but it was terribly cold standing in line to buy tickets. =) but it was nice. the louvre is huge! and i have to say mona lisa looks alot better in the real painting than in pictures we see. [or maybe i was just trying to convince myself that there must be something intriguing abt her].
oh yess. i got lost on the way to versaille. haha, rather, they lost me. coz we were on the RER when they realized they were on the wrong train, so we decided to get off. and after i hopped off, the door closed behind me and off the train went. haha. so the plan we'd decided on was that if anyone got left behind at a train station, the others would get off at the next stop and wait for them there. but my silly sister convinced them that i'd understood her hand signals as the train was pulling away that i'd stay at that station and wait for them. [i obviously hadnt] so we were chasing each other between the two stations. haha. that was a mini adventure in itself =)
yupyupyup. then it was back to london for a day - visited portobello road[i think thats what it was called], harrods and oxford street. and before i knew it, i was back in canada! =) the plane landed at 3:30pm...and i rushed through customs, collected my bags and uncle kian hwee raced down the highway and caught the 5pm ferry =)
i'm glad to be back. =) hmm, reading chan's blog made me reflect upon all my friendships. her daddy's right...if you have 3 great friends - 3 great all weather love you no matter what friends - you're lucky =) -big hug- to all those out there. you know who you are. for being there no matter what people say or what stage of life i am in and never casting me away just because i change, but embracing the changes and loving me for who i am deep down inside. =)
