oh, what a rain it would be.

rahrr. sorry for not updating chann =) had another insanely busy week. =( but well, i survived =)
yupyup. so on friday night...leticia and i decided we were gonna make ourselves dinner coz we've been so so busy the past 2 weeks that we didnt have the chance to do so. yupp. so we opened our can of hardboiled quail eggs. [yes. they come in cans...when you're far from home and living off cafeteria food...you begin to appreciate even canned quail eggs] and we decided to microwave em to heat them up...which we've done several times before actually.
i took the bowl o eggs out o the microwave after like 2 mins...and i noticed one of the eggs was quivering...but i just attributed that to the fact that i was moving the bowl. and when i put the bowl down on the table...that silly egg exploded with a "bOom". haha. so yes. egg yolk splattered everywhere. that would just have been alright if it'd merely splattered on my clothes... but part o it flew straight to my eye...and i was in pain for the next 1hr...holding an icepack to it to cool it down....was tearing lots and feeling awful. haha. fortunately only my eyelid was burnt - the wonders of our body's reflexes. haha. yup...so that's another story to add to my collection of boarding school tales for my future grandchildren.
then it was middle eastern and indian subcontinent national day on saturday. had a university interview in the morning...which i'm glad is over. the food market was yummy. all the spicy indian food -grin- there was chicken bryani and curry. and then the dinner...during which we managed to make steven blush. haha. he claims he never does...guess asians blush too...just a matter of losing our tans and letting it show. and the show that followed was real nice...they put on this bollywood soap opera that was terribly hilarious...and the bollywood dances, bhangra, butanese dance, hebrew songs, poems, jewish dance etc. hope asia pacific national day will be brilliant too. [ideas on what we can do to represent Singapore?]
