if all of the raindrops were lemon-drops and gum-drops,
oh, what a rain it would be.

yayy. SAT II's over! =) hopefully i do well enough to have absolutely nth to do with SATs again.
it's been a terribly busy busy busy 2 weeks...but it's been nice in a way~ stayed in bed for 2 whole days coz i was down with a cold, sorethroat, fever etc. yupp. was simply miserably sick - but it was good that i got to rest =) then there's been swing practice everyday...which gets more and more fun by the day because we're getting better at it and the dance is actually taking form. haha. of some sort. other then that...it's pretty much just been workworkwork - tests, homework, internal assessments. the list just goes on. oh well, but i've been real happy so thats good. =)
went for our outside thingii for special needs music and it was absolutely lovely. we were at this place where ex-alcoholics and ex-drug addicts stay to recover...and we just played music and sang songs. all those oldies that my parents used to listen to in the car when i was little...so i could sing pretty much all of them though i had no idea who sang them or how i knew the song. haha. it was just so so so wonderful watching them all sing along - even the harshest looking guy''s expression softened when he started singing. and the guy sitting next to me was just so sweet and sincere...and his friend was really funny and witty. it was a lovely experience...looking forward to it this friday =)
it's gonna be a busy but good year i think. and i absolutely love love LOVE my room! I've gotten really nice roommates both this year and last. truly praise the Lord for that. =) Hannah and Madeleine are always always in the room with me, giorgina's just so vibrant and sweet. We're all so different yet we get along really well. haha. me and hannah were both in bed the whole day on monday feeling awfully sick...everyone who came to visit commented that they felt like they were in a hospital. haha. and and and they were terribly sweet on friday night. coz i had to leave for SATs at 6:30am on saturday. madeleine gave me 3 chocolate kisses - one for each SAT paper. hannah stapled a note saying "you will do great! 100% wonderful" to a teabag and left it on my table, while giorgina left a note wishing me all the best and the necklace she wore everyday coz she said it was her goodluck charm. was really touched =)
yupp. it's thanksgiving tomorrow so we've got monday off. tatenda invited leticia and i to her host family's for a thanksgiving dinner...we had turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. haha, though i don't really like pumpkin pie. haha, but thanksgiving dinners aren't complete if a pie isnt present. haha. yeaps, so that was nice.
the sermon today really struck a chord. the pastor was talking about how we're to live in this world with our attention focussed on the world to come...not to get too caught up here and with earthly possessions or activities. but yet, we're not to be idle, but to keep busy till He returns. and also, we keep busy and work not for the sake of working but because it's a way of loving others, loving those around us. it reminded me to keep things in perspective and keep my eyes on Him. to do His will, not my own. to trust in Him for His way is always right - and He doesnt guide us to walk down paths in order to torture us or deprive us of things. but because He loves us and that's the best way for us and it's such a great great blessing to have Him guide me through life. Praise the Lord!
