just visited tay's blog after a million years...haha, and yes. she hasnt updated it in forever...but there was a really meaningful story in her last entry -

"I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances" Phil 4:11

Paul, while being denied every comfort, wrote the above words from a dark prison cell. A story is told of a king who went to his garden one morning, only to find everything withered and dying. He asked the oak tree that stood near the gate what the trouble was. The oak said it was tired of life and determined to die because it was not tall and beautiful like the pine tree. The pine was troubled because it could not bear grapes like the grapevine. The grape vine was determined to throw its life away because it could not stand tall and produce fruit as large as peaches. The geranium was fretting because it was not fragrant like the lilac.
and so it went throughout the garden. Yet coming to the violet, the king found its face bright and happy as ever and said "well, i'm glad to find one brave little flower in the midst of this discouragement. You don't seem to be the least bit disheartened." The violet responded : "No, im not. I know i'm small, yet i thought if you wanted an oak or pine or peach tree or even a lilac, you would have planted one. Since I knew you wanted a violet, im determined to be the best one a can be."

=) yupp. it really doesnt matter what other people become or what other people can do and you can't. just as the sun glorifies God by being the sun and the moon by being the moon. We too glorify the Lord by being just who He made us to be.

haiss. and i reallyreally miss 403 too! those days of being silly...poking each others calves as we ran up the stairs from recess, laughing fits, louse and her "arhhh, lame", weilin and her daily update on personality tests, sarah and her crazy tapping-the-shoulder/candid photo taking spree, grace and her ever timely words of wisdom that i was reallyreally grateful for, ivy our brilliant brilliant class chair, jiaxin who's just so so so sincerely nice and considerate she makes your heart melt, huiting, shiii hweeee who's sooo nice to hug, shieh yuan, karen ang, jinjing, chann, whuiwhui, cheryl, laura [i managed to tell them apart after a year! =)], qing hui the smartest in class, peiyin, kandy mak, anna, adeline, mel, shermaine, hanxi, yingmei, bird, yujie, audrey, mini, jasmine ho and chua, shen onn, shuching and cherie.!
miss you guys so so much...and thanks for everything! [we must have a class gathering after the As yea?] =)
