oh, what a rain it would be.

today was absolutely exhausting once again. taking care of little ones is frustrating, tiring but absolutely rewarding =) its really wonderful to see their delighted smiles when you agree to read with them, to realize at the end of the book that they've learnt to read a few new words. to hear them sing in unison the pre-lunch prayer: "[Thank You God for the food we eat]x3, right where we are. [Hallelujah praise the Lord]x3, right where we are" to see their faces light up when you tell them it's play time, to have them tug at your arm asking you to play with them, to see their excitement when you let them play teacher and mark your spanish verb drill exercises, to hear them greet you enthusiastically when you step into the class and to have them run to give you goodbye hugs. even though the boys bully you, the things above make up for it. =)
i really really love those little ones...despite their naughty ways, in their little actions and how they interact with each other, their innocent love for each other and genuine kindhearted nature are displayed. although some of them face tough situations at home...i just hope that they grow up remembering that they are loved and that they are precious.
oh well. just one more day this week then i have the weekend to get proper rest. haha, my daily survival kit includes: 1. sweets. that's how i survive! [keeps them well behaved for short while] 2. a bottle of water 3. chocolates for instant energy throughout the day 4. spanish verb drill book to keep me entertained during the 1.5hr lunch break 5. sweets. more of it. it's a necessity. haha, mentos works pretty well i have found. especially pink grapefruit flavour coz most of the kids there are girls =) 6. Handphone to keep me in contact with outside world from 9-5
should start putting in panadol...seems i always get a headache at the end of the day. think it has sth to do with drinking insufficient water though. yupyup. another day tmr =) it seems like the days there simply get shorter and shorter.
